Description

You will lead Rhode Island’s Rural Health Training Program (RHTP) workforce initiatives, managing contracts, performance tracking, and program evaluation to align with state health planning objectives.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor contracts with RHTP subrecipients, grantees, and vendors.
• Build and maintain performance tracking and reporting systems.
• Integrate RHTP with statewide Health Workforce Planning (HWP) and Health Care System Planning (HCSP).
• Facilitate engagement with state staff, private sector partners, and key stakeholders.
• Analyze health workforce data to inform policy, evaluate programs, and support career ladder development.

Required Skills

• Master’s degree in Health Policy, Public Policy, Human Resources, Education, or a related licensed health profession.
• 5+ years of professional experience in workforce development, health policy, public health, or program administration.
• Thorough understanding of healthcare workforce stakeholders, including state agencies, providers, educators, and labor organizations.
• Significant knowledge of health workforce development principles, policy planning, and data analytics.
• Proven ability to analyze data to evaluate health workforce programs and policy impacts.
• Strong research, writing, and public speaking skills.
• Experience facilitating internal and external communications and managing stakeholder relationships.

Preferred Skills

• Deep familiarity with factors limiting access to health services in rural Rhode Island.
• General understanding of public health objectives, healthcare finance, and delivery systems.
• Experience supporting healthcare career awareness and higher education completion initiatives.
