Description

Lead project management for a large-scale IT system replacement transitioning from legacy SSMIS and FSDnet to a modern CCWIS solution. Manage execution over a two-year period.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project through its execution phase, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate efforts between internal staff, state IT teams, and third-party implementation vendors.
• Direct project workflows using a hybrid agile approach balancing formal discovery with nimble development.
• Oversee complex dependencies across multiple business units and phased implementations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing IT projects.
• Expertise in hybrid project management methodologies combining waterfall and agile best practices.
• Proven track record managing system replacements or large-scale upgrades.
• Experience managing projects involving multiple vendors, consultants, and business units.
• Ability to balance system customization requirements with long-term maintenance and sustainability.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder management.
• Experience managing large budgets and complex project timelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing CCWIS or Child Welfare Systems.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with Wrike Project Management Software and Government IT projects.
