The ideal candidate will have extensive experience writing production-grade Python code that processes and transforms large datasets while leveraging AWS cloud technologies. This position requires strong coding skills, experience with containerization, cloud-native development, and Agile software delivery.

Required:

  • 8+ years of Python development experience
  • 6+ years of recent hands-on experience using Python Pandas (required)
  • Strong experience developing applications on AWS

  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience using observability tools such as:

    • Datadog

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications using Python.
  • Build scalable backend solutions running on AWS.
  • Develop complex data processing applications using Python Pandas.
  • Manipulate and transform large datasets while implementing sophisticated business logic.
  • Design clean, maintainable, and efficient code following software engineering best practices.
  • Deploy and support applications using Docker containers.
  • Work within Linux and Windows development environments.
  • Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Monitor applications using observability tools.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
  • Create technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines
