Description

Design, build, and maintain Python-based automation to orchestrate jobs across Oracle 19c systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy Python scripts to orchestrate jobs across on-prem Oracle 19c systems.
• Design and implement Airflow DAGs to manage complex, interdependent ETL workflows.
• Migrate job logic from Perl, RunMyJob, and PL/SQL scheduling into modular Airflow DAGs.
• Build custom Airflow operators and sensors for Oracle, REST APIs, SFTP/FTP, and external triggers.
• Implement error handling, alerting, and retry mechanisms across all job pipelines.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Python development experience with system/process automation.
• Solid understanding of Oracle 19c database, SQL tuning, and PL/SQL concepts.
• Experience orchestrating data movement across large enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with job schedulers (RunMyJob, Autosys) and abstraction techniques.
• Strong debugging skills across logs, databases, and filesystems.
• Experience building REST API integrations and parameter-driven automation.
• Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience migrating legacy scheduling systems.
