Description

You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain RPG-based enterprise applications.
• Ensure system performance, scalability, and security.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize and modernize legacy systems.
• Mentor junior developers and document technical designs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in RPG IV, ILE RPG, and RPG Free.
• Proficiency in CL, SQL, and DB2.
• Experience with PTFs, system upgrades, and AS/400 administration.
• Knowledge of Turnover, JIRA, IFS, Robot Scheduler, and Stored Procedures.
• Experience in retail or distribution industry.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Experience modernizing legacy RPG systems.
