You will provide pre-sales technical consultation to design, engineer, and implement complex product solutions and applications.
Responsibilities
Partner with sales teams and industry partners to assess product applications and ensure optimum system solutions for customers.
Manage technical responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs to create viable business proposals.
Develop architecture designs, engineering bills of materials, and implementation specifications for next-generation networks.
Influence customer technology strategies through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof of concept engagements.
Build and maintain professional relationships with IT decision-makers and deliver training to customer engineers.
Required Skills
Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical or pre-sales role within a Sales or Systems Engineering team.
Hands-on expertise in routing, switching, security, and wireless technology domains.
Experience designing and consulting on LAN/WAN, Wireless, Campus, Data Center, Security, and Cloud technology solutions.
Proven experience with Campus network design, including wired/wireless access and distribution/core layers.
Experience with Data Center network design involving EVPN/VXLAN, Clos architectures, and underlay fabrics.
Proficiency with routing protocols including IGPs, EGPs, and Layer-2/3 VPNs.
Experience with MPLS and WAN network design using LDP and RSVP.
Knowledge of network security technologies including NGFW, UTM, DDoS, IPSec, MACSec, and SIEM.
Ability to present and whiteboard technical concepts to both technical and financial decision-makers.
Preferred Skills
Experience with virtualization, VMWare, OpenStack, VNF, and container solutions, or DevOps automation using Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, YANG, JSON, or Netconf.
Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, or industry certifications such as JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, or CCIE.
