Description

Develop and maintain high-performance SAS code to support healthcare data management and warehousing requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize advanced SAS code using DATA step, SQL, and SAS Macro language for maximum efficiency.
• Design, develop, and test data management solutions, including Data Warehouses and Data Marts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within existing code and processing workflows.
• Provide production, development, and QA support including performance tuning to meet project deadlines.
• Create best practice guidelines for SAS projects and participate in peer reviews for designs and code.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in SAS and SAS/SQL programming.
• Proficiency in Base SAS programming (DATA step) and SQL programming (PROC SQL or SQL pass-through).
• Expertise in SAS Macro language for code automation and efficiency.
• Hands-on experience with SAS Studio and SAS Enterprise Guide.
• Experience with SAS Visual Analytics (VA).
• Ability to perform ETL processing and implement advanced dataset storage best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the healthcare industry (commercial or government).
• SAS 9.4 Base Programmer Certification.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
