Description

You will design and build scalable backend services using Scala within an Agile environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build REST APIs using software security principles and patterns.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to build and deploy infrastructure using cloud technologies.
• Implement test-driven development and use automated testing frameworks.
• Maintain system visibility using monitoring and observability tools.
• Manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Scala.
• Strong experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS managed services.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, or Argo.
• Experience with caching architectures, specifically Memcached.
• Competency with CI/CD automation using Jenkins or GitLab.
• Knowledge of API documentation using Swagger (OpenAPI).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Instana, Datadog, or Prometheus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
