Description

You will own the design, development, and deployment of Scala-based applications using functional programming principles.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Scala applications with a strong emphasis on functional programming.
• Develop and deliver project features using Scala and its ecosystem.
• Write high-quality code, including comprehensive unit tests and debugging.
• Manage application deployment processes within AWS environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of total IT experience.
• 3+ years of meaningful Scala application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in the functional programming paradigm.
• Experience with Akka, Play, ZIO, or Cats.
• Proven track record of developing applications using Scala outside of Big Data or data integration contexts.
• Proficiency in application testing and debugging.
• Experience managing deployments in AWS.

Preferred Skills

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field.
