Description

You will own automation for production systems using Karate, Playwright, and Python.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation frameworks using Karate DSL, JUnit5, and Cucumber reporting.
• Develop UI automation scripts with Playwright and Python, implementing async patterns and CI integration.
• Design and debug Jenkins CI/CD pipeline stages for test execution and reporting.
• Write Python CLI tools and utilities for REST API testing, JSON/XML parsing, and JDBC database assertions.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate test development and generate complex test logic.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on SDET or automation engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Karate framework: DSL feature files, Maven Surefire, JDBC-backed DB assertions.
• Strong Python scripting skills for API testing and reusable test utilities.
• Experience with Playwright for UI automation and locator strategies.
• Hands-on Jenkins CI/CD: writing and debugging pipeline stages.
• Comfortable with Bitbucket Git workflows and PR-based collaboration.
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift for service topology and test targeting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle/SQL for claim data validation queries.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot test slices (@SpringBootTest) for white-box testing.
• Exposure to Dynatrace or Kibana for correlating test failures to observability signals.
