Description

You will own quality engineering initiatives by building and maintaining scalable Java-based automation solutions for UI, API, backend, and data platforms. You integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and drive Shift-Left and Quality-by-Design practices across cross-functional teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reusable automation frameworks using Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, and REST Assured.
• Execute risk-based testing strategies and manage test evidence using OpenText AQM.
• Diagnose and resolve automation instability, flaky tests, and synchronization issues through debugging and refactoring.
• Validate backend systems and data quality using SQL and microservices testing techniques.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Architecture teams in Agile ceremonies to improve testability and delivery efficiency.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in SDET or Test Automation roles.
• Strong Core Java programming skills including OOP, Design Patterns, Concurrency, and Collections.
• Hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver, Page Object Model, and advanced locator strategies.
• Proficiency in API testing using REST Assured, Karate, or Postman.
• Experience with SQL, database validation, and backend system testing.
• Familiarity with TestNG, JUnit, Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed system testing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OpenText AQM for test case management and audit readiness.
• Strong analytical skills for defect prevention and continuous improvement initiatives.
