Description

Own end-to-end QA for Data Warehouse, ETL, and BI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test automation strategies for backend systems, targeting 85% coverage.
• Perform ETL testing on mappings, transformations, data pipelines, and SSIS packages.
• Validate DataMart, ODS, data models, and SSRS reports within BI environments.
• Conduct data warehouse testing involving stored procedures, slowly changing dimension tables, and Change Data Capture.
• Identify, document, and track software defects while performing root cause analysis with development teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in ETL testing and data warehousing concepts.
• Exceptional SQL skills for writing advanced queries to validate data integrity.
• Experience with Star Schema, ODS, multi-dimensional models, and slowly changing dimensions.
• Hands-on experience with backend test automation using Java and associated frameworks.
• Proficiency in testing within Cloud data environments, including Azure and Data Lake.
• Experience with SQL-on-Hadoop technologies such as Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, or Presto.
• Knowledge of continuous testing practices within CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Banking or Financial services domain.
• Familiarity with Clusters, Containers, VMs, and On-Premise infrastructure.
