Description
We are seeking a highly technical SDET to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks that ensure our products remain robust as we scale. You will act as a bridge between development and operations, embedding "quality-by-design" into our CI/CD pipelines.
The ideal candidate loves writing code to solve testing challenges and is passionate about building scalable, high-performance software.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Architecture: Design and develop modular, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks from the ground up using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium).
- Automation Development: Write production-quality code to automate end-to-end, integration, and performance tests, ensuring high test coverage across the stack.
- Pipeline Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.
- Performance & Load Testing: Proactively identify performance bottlenecks by designing and executing load and stress tests for microservices and APIs.
- White-Box Testing: Conduct deep-dive analysis by inspecting application logs, database queries, and system architectures to identify root causes of failures.
- Shift-Left Quality: Collaborate with software developers during the design phase to identify potential edge cases and promote testable code architectures.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage test environments, including containerized setups (Docker/Kubernetes), to ensure stable, isolated testing conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development and/or automated testing.
- Programming Mastery: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Tooling: Strong experience with automation frameworks and libraries (e.g., PyTest, TestNG, Selenium, Playwright).
- Infrastructure & DevOps: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- API Testing: Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar libraries.
- Database Proficiency: Ability to write complex SQL queries for data verification and setup.
- Mindset: A strong "developer mindset"—you view testing as a software engineering problem to be solved with code, not just a series of manual steps.
