Description

You will architect, design, and implement large-scale data and analytics solutions on the Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Design and operationalize data pipelines using Databricks, Python, and SnowSQL.
• Develop ETL scripts in UNIX and Python to extract, load, and transform data.
• Translate mapping specifications into data transformation designs and production code.
• Perform code reviews to ensure optimal execution patterns and adherence to standards.
• Monitor warehouse health, performance, and costs, including loads, queries, and data quality.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of overall experience in data engineering.
• 3+ years designing and implementing production-grade data solutions on MS Azure Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, and Metadata Manager.
• Proficiency with Databricks for data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts including OLTP, OLAP, Dimensions, Facts, and Data modeling.
• Experience with MS Azure configuration items in relation to Snowflake.
• Ability to lead and drive performance for local and offshore developer teams.
• Experience working with unclear requirements and translating them into technical designs.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technical Science.
• 3 years of technical architecture experience with large-scale data warehouse solutions.
• Experience in the Finance or Banking industry with knowledge of securities and banking products.
