Lead transmission assembly integration into vehicle platforms, managing external interfaces, specifications, and prototype builds.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead external interfaces between transmission and vehicle platform, including packaging and functional requirements.
• Develop the Applications Matrix to define interface requirements for all program variants and vehicle platforms.
• Own Transmission Technical Specifications (TTS) and communicate requirements such as max torque, NVH, FE, tire size, FDR selection, and mass.
• Coordinate packaging studies and vehicle adaptation design studies to ensure clearance requirements are met.
• Manage prototype hardware procurement, ED&D requirements, and Build Readiness Team (BRT) for prototype orders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in application engineering or vehicle integration roles.
• Experience managing Transmission Technical Specifications (TTS).
• Proficiency with DFMEA processes.
• Ability to coordinate with manufacturing, vehicle engineering, and calibration teams.
• Experience managing technical documentation including International Product Spec releases and compliance reports.
• Proven track record of negotiating requirements between product limitations and vehicle platform capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NVH, fuel economy, and final drive ratio selection.
