Description

You will lead the architectural design and development of complex embedded Linux systems and large-scale networking solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for complex Linux and Android embedded systems from initial requirements through to production deployment.
• Lead, organize, and approve technical design reviews and test plan reviews.
• Architect networking solutions for diverse use cases including audio/video streaming, file sharing, and ISP transactional systems.
• Document system architectures using professional diagramming models such as C4, PlantUML, or ArchiMate.
• Solve complex problems across both the network and system layers.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of networking-related programming in Linux systems.
• 5+ years of experience with wireless, mobile, and satellite communication systems.
• 3+ years of architecture experience in complex embedded systems.
• Expertise in Layer 2-7 networking design, testing, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, and routing protocols including OSPF and BGP.
• Extensive experience with IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NTP, AVB, TLS, and multicast.
• Hands-on experience with bare-metal Kubernetes networking, including CNI, Cilium, eBPF, and Service Meshes.
• Experience with networking OS such as Cumulus Linux, VyOS, OpenWRT, or DD-WRT.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and F5 hardware.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building web-scale, container-based solutions using Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Computing and Cloud-provider network design.
• Experience working within an Agile development process.
