Description

You will develop and maintain Python-based applications and services within an AWS environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test REST APIs using Python principles and methodologies.
• Build and manage AWS components including SQS, EC2, S3, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Design Swagger and OpenAPI specifications using JSON and YAML.
• Implement application logging frameworks and performance optimizations for high-volume batch applications.
• Integrate third-party APIs using HTTP request/response and various authentication concepts.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of application programming experience using Python.
• 3+ years of experience with REST API development, debugging, and testing in AWS.
• 2+ years of hands-on development with AWS services.
• Experience with AWS SDK for Python.
• Experience with RDBMS and RDS.
• Proficiency with API tools such as Postman or Fiddler.
• Experience with Git and JIRA.
• Background working in Agile teams.
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Terraform scripts in AWS.
• Experience with Splunk.
• Exposure to DevOps/CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Bamboo.
