You will design, implement, and deploy complex applications within research or clinical settings, owning the full software development lifecycle.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy complex applications across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Lead projects and mentor junior developers on application development tasks and best practices.
• Oversee testing, debugging, change control, documentation, and ongoing application maintenance.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize existing system performance.
• Define programming standards and collaborate on long-term strategic technical planning.

Required Skills

• 8 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and R.
• Experience with cloud platforms including Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
• Expertise in containerization with Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with data transformation and workflow tools like dbt, Airflow, or WDL.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, relational databases, and data modeling.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with common data models such as OMOP, PCORnet, or i2b2.
• Background in healthcare research, clinical settings, or working with HIPAA PHI and EHR databases.
