Description

Lead the architecture, design, and development of embedded systems and device drivers for La Porte, TX.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and develop software for embedded devices.
• Manage the C++ build process and optimize system performance.
• Implement multi-threading, algorithms, and inter-process communications (IPC).
• Perform code reviews and execute unit testing to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with diverse engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 6-8 years of experience in embedded systems and device driver development.
• Expert proficiency in C and C++ (including C++11, C++14, or C++17).
• Deep knowledge of embedded Linux, BSP, and Linux subsystems.
• Experience with memory and performance profiling tools.
• Strong understanding of RPC and communication paradigms including client-server, peer-to-peer, and publish/subscribe.
• Solid foundational knowledge of multi-threading and algorithms.
• Experience with JavaScript.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IP-based protocols such as HTTP, TLS, REST, WebSockets, JSON, XML, Protobufs, Flatbuffers, RTP, RTSP, or HLS.
