Description

Design and develop software applications and reusable components for the Payment BU.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, maintainable software modules for the Payment BU product.
• Evaluate and integrate complementary technologies, including AWS Step Functions, EMR, and Glue.
• Conduct unit and integration testing using appropriate methodologies and techniques.
• Review software engineering approaches to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Provide technical mentorship, conduct code and design reviews, and promote engineering excellence.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years experience with enterprise and application design patterns (e.g., GoF).
• 5-10 years experience with data pipeline design patterns (batch, stream, lambda, data mesh, lakehouse).
• 5 years proficiency with Scala, Spark, Python, PySpark, and Linux shell scripting.
• Working knowledge of RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) with SQL programming skills.
• 4-5 years experience with software engineering best practices (CI, unit testing, refactoring, code reviews).
• Strong understanding of Agile development practices, preferably SAFe.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem components (Hive, YARN, Sqoop, Oozie, Groovy).
• 4-5 years experience with platform engineering tools (Bitbucket, Gradle, Octopus, Artifactory).
• 2-3 years experience with AWS cloud technologies complementing Hadoop stack (S3, Lambda functions, API Gateway, EMR).

Preferred Skills

• AWS Associate Architect certification or higher.
• Background in Healthcare IT, especially payer systems or payment integrity solutions.
