Description

You will architect, develop, and operate scalable microservices on AWS, owning feature development from design to production.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end feature development and platform enhancements with full ownership.
• Design and implement scalable, high-quality services using Java, Python, or Scala.
• Communicate technical designs through clear proposals, design specifications, and diagrams.
• Mentor team members and drive engineering best practices focused on simplicity and quality.
• Make data-driven architectural decisions balancing speed, quality, and maintainability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of strong coding expertise in Java, Python, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience building and operating microservices on AWS.
• Proven ability in system design and technical communication.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot) and prompt engineering.
• Strong logical analysis skills for diagnosing and resolving service failures.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using AI coding assistants for faster development, debugging, and testing.
• Background in mentoring and improving engineering culture and processes.
