Description

Design and develop complex software products for robotic systems using Simulink and real-time operating systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex software products using Simulink.
• Implement code generation workflows using Simulink Coder.
• Apply mathematical principles for controlling robotic systems, including multi-body kinematics and feedback controllers.
• Develop software within Linux and real-time operating system environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish common goals and build consensus.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Simulink for software design and development.
• In-depth understanding of code generation and Simulink Coder.
• Experience with Linux environments.
• Experience with real-time operating systems, preferably QNX.
• Strong knowledge of computer science, operating systems, and compilation processes.
• Experience with build automation, specifically CMake.
• Proficiency with git, unit testing, code coverage, static analysis, and debugging tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing software for commercial products in regulated industries or medical device development.
• Familiarity with safety considerations and regulatory processes for surgical instruments.
