Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement applications on the IBM i platform.
- Develop and maintain programs using RPGLE, ILE RPG, Free Format RPG, CLLE, and embedded SQL.
- Provide L2/L3 production support for IBM i applications built in RPG and SQL on Db2 for i.
- Monitor application health, system logs, and performance metrics to identify potential issues.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within defined SLA timelines.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes or preventive measures.
- Support application deployments, hotfixes, and patches in production environments.
- Coordinate tasks and work activities between onshore and offshore teams ensuring seamless delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team while conducting performance reviews and supporting staff development.
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives and evaluate emerging technologies.
- Enhance existing legacy applications and support modernization initiatives for system upgrades.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and audit requirements across all environments.
- Maintain production support documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with business users and stakeholders during incidents and outages.
Experience Required: 8+ years' experience in IBM iSeries (AS400) environment with proven experience leading developer teams
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
