Description

You will design and develop cloud-based software architectures, owning the delivery of complete features from concept to production.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Design and contribute to APIs supporting web and mobile user experiences.
• Analyze existing applications and databases to identify and implement improvements.
• Troubleshoot software issues and debug large codebases.
• Develop unit and integration tests while contributing to technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focusing on backend development.
• 4+ years of proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and batch processing.
• Strong fundamentals in relational database design (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB).
• Experience building cloud applications with AWS, including serverless infrastructure like AWS Lambda.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Experience with distributed messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and monitoring best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python and testing frameworks like pytest or unittest.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
