Description

Build and maintain secure software systems handling health and financial data using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and consume RESTful API endpoints and asynchronous events to implement business logic.
• Develop reusable code and libraries for the team and technology stack.
• Design software processes that safely and securely handle customer health and financial data.
• Collaborate with teams to align efforts and communicate through design and code reviews.
• Improve the current tech-stack and deploy services to cloud environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Experience building and consuming API endpoints (REST, AMQP, GraphQL).
• Experience implementing testable, secure, and maintainable business logic.
• Experience operating event-driven services.
• Experience deploying to cloud-based environments such as AWS.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Experience building and maintaining third-party integrations.
• Experience leveraging message brokers and event streams (AWS SNS, SQS, Azure ServiceBus).
