You will maintain and enhance a JavaScript-based backend system powering critical financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend the Node.js backend codebase with a focus on financial data processing.
• Design and implement features for investment opportunity management, portfolio tracking, and payment processing.
• Ensure precise financial calculations across multiple currencies and investment types.
• Integrate with external financial services and payment providers.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript and Node.js (ES6+).
• Experience with financial or investment-related software development.
• Deep understanding of data transformation patterns including DTOs and mappers.
• Expertise in handling currency conversions and financial calculations with precision.
• Experience with ORM systems, preferably Sequelize.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills.
• Familiarity with date/time manipulation libraries such as Moment.js.
• Experience with secure handling of financial data.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with financial payment processing systems and KYC verification processes.
• Knowledge of Middle Eastern payment systems like Fawateer.
• Experience with multi-currency applications and investment concepts such as NAV, ROI, and distributions.
• Experience using Decimal.js or similar libraries for precise calculations.
• Background in the fintech or financial services industry.
