Description

You will manage the design, development, testing, and debugging of complex software and operating system architecture integrations for Mainframe and Distributed systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IT infrastructure and applications daily to ensure peak efficiency and reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems using system dumps and trace analysis.
• Create, alter, and manage job schedules across Mainframe, Windows, and UNIX environments.
• Execute changes and fixes into production libraries following strict procedural standards.
• Coordinate HealthCheck calls for rapid problem identification and resolution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or data center operations.
• Proficiency with CA7, CICS, JCL, JES2, ISPF, HMC, and NDM.
• Strong knowledge of MVS Utilities, CLIST, REXX, and TSO.
• Experience managing DFSMS, DFHSM, IDCAMS, VSAM, TSM, and ABARES concepts.
• Ability to monitor and modify HSM and manage ICF catalogs.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VTAM, and Network Topology.
• Competency with base UNIX and Windows commands and structures.
• Experience with DB2 commands, functions, control tables, subsystems, and Stored Procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work with SAN technology and distributed storage management concepts.
