Description

You will characterize and optimize application performance across multi-cloud infrastructure, bridging hardware and software engineering.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive assessment, benchmarking, profiling, and integration of new server systems and architectures.
• Analyze application performance across CPUs, GPUs, storage, and memory subsystems in virtual machines and bare metal.
• Propose and implement optimizations to enhance hardware utilization and software performance.
• Develop and adjust benchmarking suites for Java, Golang, open-source databases, Apache Kafka, and machine learning applications.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in performance engineering with hands-on server system experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of CPU microarchitecture, storage, memory, and GPU technologies.
• Proficiency with performance tools including flamegraph, Linux perf, and eBPF.
• Experience with synthetic benchmarking suites such as specCPU2017, specJBB, and MLperf.
• Strong knowledge of the Linux kernel, compilers, and middleware technologies.
• Experience with Java, Golang, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Hands-on experience with container environments including Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in application-specific benchmarks for databases and event streaming.
