Description

Design, implement, and test embedded software and Linux applications for medical devices, including real-time 3D location tracking and anatomical model creation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements specifications, software architecture, and implementation for medical device firmware and general Linux applications.
• Create and execute software test plans, protocols, and reports to ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
• Collaborate with QA, Regulatory Affairs, and hardware engineers to validate firmware design for safety and reliability.
• Justify critical technical decisions through broad investigation and testing, then document solutions for manufacturing handoff.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from definition through release and sustaining development.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software development experience or equivalent research background.
• Strong Object-Oriented Design in C++ and Qt programming.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and embedded development.
• Experience with OpenGL Computer Shader Language (GLSL), CUDA, or general stream programming.
• Hands-on experience with Nvidia GPU programming and OpenGL 2D/3D Texture Mapping.
• Knowledge of computational geometry algorithms.
• Ability to translate requirements into effective architectures and software designs.
• Understanding of medical device development regulations and documentation standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Qt/QML for GUI development.
