Description

Build and maintain large-scale network telemetry and observability platforms using distributed systems and high-performance backend services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance backend services in Java for network data processing.
• Manage Apache Kafka cluster architecture and stream management for real-time telemetry.
• Optimize PostgreSQL schema design and tuning for efficient metric storage and retrieval.
• Develop enterprise-level observability dashboards using Grafana to monitor system health.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver reliable network platform features.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and distributed systems.
• 5+ years specifically in large-scale network engineering, telemetry, or observability platforms.
• Proficiency in Java for building high-performance backend services.
• Deep understanding of Apache Kafka, including cluster architecture and stream management.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Expertise in Grafana for creating and maintaining enterprise-level observability dashboards.
• Experience with Prometheus, Thanos, or ClickHouse for large-scale metric storage.
• Familiarity with Apache Flink for stream processing.
• Understanding of Model-Driven Telemetry (MDT).

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
