Description

You own the administration and optimization of critical data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration of PostgreSQL databases across production and non-production environments.
• Manage and optimize Snowflake data warehouse environments, including cost and resource usage.
• Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Perform advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing for both Postgres and Snowflake.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell, Python, and SQL scripting.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall DBA experience.
• Strong experience administering and architecting Snowflake environments.
• Expertise in SQL and PL/pgSQL.
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL replication (Streaming, Logical, Physical), WAL, and VACUUM tuning.
• Proficiency in query performance tuning and indexing strategies.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Familiarity with data security, governance, and auditing practices.
• Experience integrating databases with ETL/ELT tools like Airflow or Informatica.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code practices.
