Description

You will manage the Arkansas Integrated Revenue System (AIRS) database infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable operations for production and non-production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server installations, upgrades, service packs, and routine maintenance including index rebuilding and statistics updates.
• Administer SQL Server security, auditing, and encryption for data at rest, in transit, and in backups.
• Execute database backup and recovery strategies to meet RPO and RTO requirements, including point-in-time recovery.
• Perform capacity planning for storage and database objects, including managing disk storage for Windows Failover Cluster Service.
• Develop, create, and test disaster recovery plans and manage high availability via Mirroring and Always On.

Required Skills

• 10 years of SQL Database administration experience using SQL Server 2016 or later.
• 8 years of Windows Server Administration experience, including building/maintaining host and guest servers.
• Proficiency in T-SQL coding, tuning, and ETL methodologies.
• Experience with Windows Failover Cluster configuration and maintenance.
• Strong command of PowerShell for administration tasks.
• Experience managing SQL Server tools including Extended Events, Performance Monitor, and Dynamic Management Views.
• Knowledge of MSDTC, Linked Servers, and SQL Server Broker Service.
• Ability to provide 24-hour support.
• Experience with Nessus configuration and vulnerability scans.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of GenTax software application architecture and maintenance.
• Familiarity with industry security standards such as PUB1075, FIPS, and PII.
• Experience with Active Directory components including GPO, FQDN, DNS Server, and SPN.
