You will provide enterprise-wide support for business-critical production and non-production databases in Little Rock, AR.
Responsibilities
Install, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server 2016+ versions, including service packs and configuration management.
Execute routine maintenance tasks such as index rebuilding, statistics updates, consistency checks, and job scheduling.
Manage database security, auditing, and encryption for data at rest, in transit, and in backups.
Plan capacity for storage and database objects, managing disk space and Windows Failover Cluster Service.
Develop and test disaster recovery plans and backup/recovery procedures to meet RPO and RTO requirements.
Required Skills
10 years of SQL Database administration experience.
8 years of Windows Server Administration experience.
Expertise in SQL Server 2016 or later.
Proficiency with SQL Server native tools: Profiler, Index Tuning Advisor, Configuration Manager, Extended Events, Performance Monitor, and Dynamic Management Views.
Experience with MSDTC, Linked Servers, and SQL Server Broker Service.
Strong T-SQL coding, tuning, and ETL methodology skills.
Hands-on experience with Windows Failover Cluster configuration and maintenance.
Ability to use PowerShell for administration tasks.
Experience managing Windows host and guest servers, including endpoint protection and Nessus vulnerability scans.
Availability to provide 24-hour support.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of GenTax software application architecture and maintenance.
Familiarity with industry security standards including PUB1075, FIPS, and PII.
Experience with Cloud computing, cloud storage, and backup mechanisms.
