Description

You will manage and optimize SQL Server environments and Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server instances and Windows host/guest servers.
• Execute database maintenance including index rebuilding, statistics updates, and consistency checks.
• Manage database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery testing to meet RPO and RTO targets.
• Implement security protocols including user roles, authentication, and encryption at rest, in transit, and in backup.
• Monitor system health using Extended Events, Performance Monitor, and Dynamic Management Views.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of SQL Server 2016 or later database administration experience.
• 5+ years of Windows Server Administration experience.
• Proficiency in T-SQL coding, tuning, and ETL methodologies.
• Experience with SQL Server tools: Profiler, Index Tuning Advisor, Configuration Manager, and Database Mail.
• Expertise in managing Linked Servers, MSDTC, and SQL Server Broker Service.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell for administration tasks.
• Knowledge of Windows Server roles, features, and .NET Framework components.
• Experience with Nessus configuration and vulnerability scans.
• Capability in capacity planning for storage and database objects.

Preferred Skills

• Experience configuring and maintaining Windows Failover Cluster Service (WFSC) and SQL Server High Availability via Mirroring and Always On.
