Description

You will own all aspects of SQL Server database administration and Windows server environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server 2016 or later, including service packs, index rebuilding, and statistics updates.
• Execute backup and recovery strategies to meet RPO and RTO requirements, including point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery testing.
• Configure and maintain high availability using Mirroring and Always On, and administer Windows Failover Cluster configuration.
• Manage database security, auditing, and encryption for data at rest, in transit, and in backups.
• Perform capacity planning for storage, disk space, and database objects.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in SQL Database administration.
• 8+ years of Windows Server Administration experience.
• Expertise in SQL Server 2016 or later, including T-SQL coding, tuning, and ETL methodologies.
• Proficiency with SQL Server native tools: Profiler, Extended Events, Performance Monitor, and Dynamic Management Views.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Failover Cluster Service (WFSC).
• Ability to use PowerShell for administration tasks.
• Experience with Nessus configuration and vulnerability scans.
• Availability to provide 24-hour support.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of industry security standards such as PUB1075, FIPS, and PII.
• Experience with F5 administration, firewall maintenance, and SAN/RAID storage devices.
