Description

You will manage and optimize SQL Server environments across on-premise VMWare and Azure cloud platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain MSSQL databases across production, development, and UAT environments.
• Optimize database performance through T-SQL tuning, query optimization, and proactive capacity planning.
• Manage backup and recovery procedures, including implementing high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Execute change management processes, including evaluating patch releases and deploying approved changes to production.
• Integrate DevOps processes by managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Flyway.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance or Azure SQL Database.
• 5+ years of experience with High Availability (HA), Availability Groups (AG), and Disaster Recovery (DR).
• 5+ years of experience managing backup, restore, and recovery models.
• Proficiency in T-SQL for querying, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with database migrations to Azure SQL environments.
• Experience with high-availability solutions including Always On Availability Groups, Clustering, Replication, or Log Shipping.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the asset management industry.
• Knowledge of BI toolsets including SSIS, SSRS, and MS SharePoint.
