Description

You will manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments, focusing on high availability, performance tuning, and database lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SQL Server databases through index rebuilds, statistics updates, and integrity checks.
• Manage Always On Availability Groups, including synchronization monitoring and failover testing.
• Execute SQL Server updates, patching, and migrations to SQL Server 2019.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies, including job monitoring and periodic recovery testing.
• Perform root cause analysis on data processes to identify patterns and propose data-driven solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server administration and database engineering.
• Advanced SQL querying expertise, including complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Proven experience with Always On Availability Groups, database mirroring, and failover clustering.
• Deep knowledge of database optimization using SQL Server Profiler and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs).
• Proficiency in database security, user access control, and configuration management.
• Experience managing backups, disaster recovery planning, and data integrity protocols.
• Ability to provide technical recommendations for database design and performance tuning during the build cycle.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, VMware, AD, and DNS.
