Description

You will own the physical database administration for SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Manage schema, security, setup, installations, upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, space management, and capacity planning for SQL Server.
• Support application teams by enhancing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning databases across Production, Test, and Development environments, including Microsoft SharePoint farms.
• Install, upgrade, configure ALWAYS ON, and test/deploy complex database software.
• Develop and implement database recovery plans and analyze performance to recommend tuning and application changes.
• Script batch data loads and automate operational jobs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Database Administration.
• Expert proficiency with SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with database performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with implementing user authentication and validating security protocols.
• Experience with database recovery procedures and backup/recovery operations.
• Working knowledge of Cohesity Backup Appliance.
• Working knowledge of Cloud Technology and governance.
