Manage the full lifecycle of physical SQL Server database administration, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage schema, security, installations, upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, and capacity planning for SQL Server.
• Troubleshoot and tune SQL Server databases in Production, Test, and Development environments to support application teams.
• Install, configure, and deploy complex database software including Always On availability groups.
• Develop and implement database recovery plans, analyze performance metrics, and recommend tuning changes.
• Script batch data loads and automate operational jobs to streamline database operations.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on administrative experience with SQL Server RDBMS.
• 6+ years managing backup, recovery, and high availability scenarios.
• 6+ years in hands-on development and tuning of databases, including Performance Tuning and T-SQL programming.
• 6+ years of hands-on query experience with SQL and scripting skills.
• 4+ years of strong knowledge and experience on Always On High Availability groups.
• 4+ years of strong knowledge and experience on Database Migrations.
• 3+ years managing SQL Server database space management, storage design, and capacity planning.
• 4+ years demonstrating effective verbal and written communication with all levels of staff and management.
• 3+ years demonstrating ability to generate entity relationship diagrams, create database documentation, data dictionaries, and document system architecture.
