Description

You manage SQL Server environments across production and non-production tiers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer SQL Server instances, databases, and related products across Azure SQL, Azure SQL MI, SQL on Azure VM, and On Prem SQL Server.
• Set up and test High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Monitor database capacity, performance, and resolve issues like blocking, connectivity, and replication problems.
• Manage database maintenance, including statistics updates, index tuning, fragmentation management, and backup/recovery procedures.
• Support release/code deployment, including SSIS packages, SSRS reports, and SQL objects.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server administration.
• Expertise with Azure Vm and On Prem Sql Server environments.
• Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting SSRS and Power Bi Rs.
• Proficiency in SSIS package deployment and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure Synapse workload management and optimization.
• Ability to setup and manage SQL agent jobs and runbook automation.
• Knowledge of security practices, including user creation and permission management.
• Familiarity with setting up alerts and logging within Azure.
