Description

Manage production and non-production database environments across Azure and on-premises infrastructure. Own the full lifecycle of SQL Server instances, Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL on Azure VMs.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer SQL Server instances and Azure database services.
• Design, implement, and test high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor and resolve performance issues related to CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, blocking, and connectivity.
• Automate operational tasks using SQL Agent jobs, elastic jobs, and runbook automation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• On-premises SQL Server management and administration.
• Deep experience with Azure VMs and Azure SQL environments.
• Proficiency in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and Power BI RS.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
• Azure Synapse workload management and optimization.
• Expertise in database backup, recovery, and restore procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience maintaining database health through statistics, index management, and fragmentation control.
