Description

You will own the reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems, infrastructure, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Implement scalable solutions for applications, infrastructure, and databases.
• Manage configuration, maintenance, and reliability of VMs, network servers, and applications.
• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software incidents by running diagnostics and assessing impact.
• Perform capacity planning, hardware/software upgrades, and implement performance improvements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in production system operations.
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Python, Groovy, or GoLang.
• Experience implementing logging, monitoring, alerting, and service level observability.
• Deep understanding of SLO, SLI, Error Budgets, and metrics like MTTR, MTBR, and MTD.
• Knowledge of Chaos Engineering tools and practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), runbooks, and SOPs.
• Strong understanding of containers and container platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of application architecture and development experience using Java or .NET.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Knowledge of ITSM processes and SRE certifications.
