Description

You will own the reliability and health of production systems within a cloud-based Linux environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production system health by monitoring node and pod status, managing patches, and performing updates.
• Build monitoring dashboards and configure alerts to automate system recovery and proactive issue resolution.
• Lead production troubleshooting calls and drive technical solutions for complex system discrepancies.
• Automate password and certificate rotations on application and database servers.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for global application and infrastructure rollouts.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with 9+ years focused on software and DevOps engineering.
• Extensive experience with Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, including managing scalability, deployments, and pod health.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including creating and running notebooks and executing queries.
• Experience with messaging brokers such as Kafka, Event Hub, or NATS.
• Database expertise including Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elastic Search, or Cosmos DB.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.
• Deep knowledge of Linux environments and microservices architecture.
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog and Splunk for logging and APM.

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating mission-critical, highly available (24x7) distributed systems.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Scrum methodologies.
