Description

Lead civil and structural engineering teams in Mobile, AL, delivering projects on time and within budget. You will own the technical direction, design validation, and project controls for complex assignments.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve all civil and structural deliverables, including detailed design calculations, sketches, and construction specifications.
• Establish design criteria by incorporating client requirements and ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal codes.
• Manage project controls by tracking performance budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Lead project teams by delegating work based on technical skill, planning workflows, and communicating progress to clients and leadership.
• Validate professional service and construction estimates, initiating change notices when deviations from project scope occur.

Required Skills

• Professional Engineering (PE) License in the State of Alabama.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in civil and structural engineering.
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven ability to perform advanced engineering work on complex assignments.
• Expertise in utilizing project controls for cost, schedule, and quality management.
• Experience in producing detailed design calculations and construction specifications.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision while managing multidisciplinary design coordination.
