Description

Provision, tune, and automate systems within a large-scale enterprise environment. You will manage compute, storage, and data protection services for web and mobile applications. Lead architectural reviews and design sessions with development, QA, and product teams. Automate deployments and maintain standard operating procedures for server maintenance. Diagnose server malfunctions, remediate security vulnerabilities, and manage backup operations using Rubrik. Provide operational support for user accounts and data security, including regular system reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provision and support web and mobile applications while managing compute and storage services.
• Lead project planning, architectural reviews, and design sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Automate system deployments and maintain standard operating procedures for server maintenance.
• Diagnose server malfunctions, remediate security vulnerabilities, and manage backup operations using Rubrik.
• Provide operational support for user accounts, data security, and regular system reporting.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of VMware, NSX, and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Experience with x86 hardware technology and storage/server solutions (HP, Dell, EMC, Pure, or Cisco).
• Hands-on experience with clustering technologies and resilient infrastructure design.
• Proficiency with CMDB systems such as ServiceNow.
• A+ Certification or equivalent.
• Ability to travel for shipboard and dry dock requirements.
• Availability for global on-call physical server support.

Preferred Skills

• Automation experience using Ansible or Python.
• Containerization experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Active Directory Group Policy expertise.
