Description

Analyze and document business rules in legacy COBOL and CISC mainframe code to facilitate system conversion.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deconstruct complex legacy logic to uncover underlying business rules and code structure.
• Translate findings from COBOL and CISC systems into technical documentation for system integrators.
• Provide documentation used by integrators to design and execute data conversion to modern platforms.
• Contribute to the design process for system conversion from legacy environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical analysis or similar roles.
• In-depth proficiency in COBOL to read and analyze legacy code.
• Strong understanding of Complex Instruction Set Computing (CISC) principles and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with mainframe systems and their operational environments.
• Ability to document complex system logic for external integrators.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, or Python.
