Lead complex electrical and electro-mechanical product development within the medical diagnostics domain.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware boards, including circuit design, component selection, and alternate supplier identification.
• Perform design analysis for digital and mixed-signal boards, covering timing, noise margin, part stress, DFMEA, and worst-case analysis.
• Own the full hardware lifecycle, from writing electrical requirements and board specifications to supporting NPI transitions to manufacturing.
• Execute hands-on testing in a lab environment, including PCBAs testing, debugging, and creating test plans and protocols.
• Drive issue resolution for field problems, obsolescence eradication, and BOM scrubbing while coordinating across system and sub-system teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in electronic design and embedded product development.
• Proven experience with medical diagnostic devices and compliance standards including IEC60601-X, ISO14971, and ISO13485.
• Expertise in microcontroller design, CPLD/FPGA, or digital logic.
• Proficiency with circuit design tools such as Mentor Expedition (preferred) or OrCAD.
• Deep knowledge of serial protocols including USB, I2C, SPI, and RS232.
• Strong understanding of EMI/EMC compliance design and testing.
• Experience with analog control electronics, sensors, and communication interfaces like Ethernet.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
