Description

You will lead large-scale IT project planning, execution, and delivery for public sector initiatives in California.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical project plans and support Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) stages 2, 3, and 4.
• Coordinate deliverables, manage schedules, and facilitate meetings to ensure timely milestone completion.
• Monitor scope, risks, and quality, maintaining risk registers, issue logs, and change requests.
• Lead project teams, external consultants, and present technical briefings to executive stakeholders.
• Establish quality assurance processes and manage project closeout activities including lessons learned.

Required Skills

• 10+ years managing large-scale IT projects in the public sector.
• 5+ years managing technically complex systems (software, network, or cloud-based).
• Experience completing PAL Stages 2, 3, and 4 for State of California projects.
• Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, and risk management.
• Current PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• Bachelor’s degree.
