Description

You will manage and troubleshoot VMware Tanzu platforms and container-based environments, providing L2 support and operational stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot the VMware Tanzu platform, including orchestration, monitoring, and logging of container applications.
• Design and implement platform components that support microservices and containerized architectures.
• Perform root cause analysis, health checks, and incident resolution, coordinating with VMware GSS for issue escalation.
• Maintain Docker images and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Docker Registry.
• Automate operational tasks and reporting using Python or Bash scripting.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of total professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience specifically in Kubernetes and App Modernization.
• Hands-on expertise with VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Docker for image creation and management.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, and Docker Registry.
• Configuration management experience using Ansible or Chef.
• Programming knowledge in Java, Spring, J2EE, Python, or Bash.
• Understanding of infrastructure components including LDAP, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Firewalls.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies.
