Description

Lead telecommunications infrastructure design for new build projects and manufacturing initiatives across Texas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive drawing packages including site plans, floor plans, communication room layouts, rack elevations, and backbone schematics.
• Coordinate structured cabling and infrastructure design with architects and civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines.
• Develop design drawings and specifications for Division 27 and 28 systems.
• Conduct field surveys and generate reports during programming, construction, and post-construction phases.
• Perform cable pathway fill calculations and provide opinions-of-probable costs for network infrastructure projects.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in telecommunications or structured cabling design.
• Proficiency in Autodesk CAD programs, specifically Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Experience working within a BIM (Building Information Modeling) environment.
• Strong understanding of communications system design principles and technical standards.
• Ability to coordinate complex designs across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in infrastructure design.

Preferred Skills

• BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
